OWN A FRANCHISE
What kind of teaching resources do we use?
The materials that we use are obviously central to our way of working, and indeed our success over the years. They take a number of different forms:
- Multi media computer programs - specially commissioned to enable children to learn in a way that they will find fun. Much of the practise element of teaching e.g. tables, spelling, mental arithmetic- can be more effectively done on computer.
- Textbooks - have been written to our design to encompass all areas Kip McGrath Centres cover. They are easy to use and graded step by step.
- Expendable sheets and booklets - are also provided and we maintain their supply. Whatever is used up in the course of tuition is replaced as part of our service.
- Homework - is given to every child attending a Kip McGrath Centre. Homework is for every level of every subject we offer is already prepared.
We have an extensive range of audio media which are used for reading homework, providing a self-contained lesson to be done at home. Children on the reading course will take home one of 92 cassette tapes and booklets each week. They are graded to make a step-by-step- learning structure using both phonetic and whole-word recognition methods.
Proven teaching methods using traditional and Multi-sensory learning.
